WHAT IS AN INTAKE SESSION?The intake session is the first session we will have together where we will learn a bit about each other, discuss logistical details of our sessions, and explore what you are looking for in therapy

DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?Yes, I am able to accept Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. I can also provide a Superbill which allows you to pay up front then submit the bill to the insurance for Out of Network reimbursement.

CAN I PAY WITH A HSA/FSA CARD?Yes, I can accept an HSA and FSA card just like a credit card. You will enter this into the system when you complete your initial paperwork

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?Sessions are 50-60 minutes.

I'VE NEVER BEEN TO THERAPY BEFORE, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?You’ll enter a waiting room then I’ll come get you (or if we’re virtually we’ll meet by logging into the video session). You can bring your coffee or water if you wish. Some clients bring notebooks. You can share as much or as little information as you wish. I will ask questions to learn more about you and what you are hoping to accomplish in our work together. You can use any language you want and sit anyway you wish. I have clients that kick off their shoes and cozy up in a blanket and others who sit at the edge of the couch. I imagine you have the puzzle pieces and my job is to help pull them out and together we put them in place to help you feel like your best self, your thriving self.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?Cancellations or Rescheduling a session must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours of notice or do not show up to a session, you will be charged your full fee.

IS THE INFORMATION I SHARE IN SESSION KEPT CONFIDENTIAL?Yes, I do not share the information with anyone unless there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person. I do have a form that you may complete and sign that would allow me to share information with others that you deem appropriate.

WHAT IF I NEED TO REACH MY THERAPIST OUTSIDE OF A SESSION?I am available via email, call, and text outside of session and try to respond within 2 business days. If there is a crisis situation and support is needed immediately, you should call 9-1-1 or a crisis hotline such as 9-8-8, Community North 24-hour Crisis line 317-621-5700 (Option #1), or text HOME to 741741.

I'M A MEMBER OF THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY. WILL I BE SAFE WITH YOU?I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and affirming therapist. My stance is that a client should feel safe and welcome in my virtual and physical space, including all aspects of their identity and story.
